AMBUSH ON THE INTERNET

Bullying and Internet Misinformation

“As a high school teacher, I am aware of the epidemic of false news, untrue reports, and unkind slander that is sometimes posted on the Internet causing great hurt and pain. This poem Is dedicated to all who have been slandered online, or elsewhere, to encourage them to stay the course, because Time will Document Truth.” Katharaina Martin

Oh no! Shock and disbelief! You’ve been slandered, ONLINE!
It’s destruction of the absolute worst kind.
Your reputation, as you and others knew it,
Is now dust in the wind, as gossips have skewed it.
You’re left feeling helpless, frustrated, in great pain,
As to how to renew truth and honor, and true justice gain.

Reach out to God who has power and freedom to heal hearts,
He will nourish health, inspire hope, restore shattered parts.
Find support from teachers, family, friends, as you renew.
They know your truths, your strengths; steadfastly stand with you.
Forget the false news hacks, refuse to mind.
Live smart, forgive, pursue peace, leave the rest behind.

Move forward; plan, prepare, and express,
Long-term goals of Presenting Truth, Giving Back, Sharing Success.
Pursue your paths with hope, celebration, and might.
Trusting in Him to create NEW DAY IN THE MORNING insight!
Define your goals with lift-off traction;
Be anointed with forgiveness, love, and positive action!

“For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says The Lord,
Thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future
and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
