A young girl, seen from behind, happily plays an old worn piano in a sunlit room while her grandparent watches from a nearby chair.

Encore, Please!

Dedicated to our granddaughter, Elaine

One spring day, a young girl discovered an old, out-of-tune piano that was worn; It clearly had no use, had been abandoned; even the music pages were torn. Yet, in remembering, with love and joy, music lessons taught on another day, She suddenly stood, adjusted her stance, and delightedly began to magically play.

Chopsticks here, chopsticks there; it really didn’t show a rhythmic rhyme. She was loving life, dancing as she played, enjoying her youth, having a grand old time! The girl was young, the piano old; yet they converged, together with musical insight. Each learned that day that old can be meaningful with beauty, and alive with delight.

A connection occurs when Grandparents unite with Grandkids, enabling all to celebrate. In time spent together, they create missions and projects that truly teach and demonstrate, For what they say and do today will bless both their family and friends in their destiny. As Grands teach Grandchildren, with love and hope, they leave a bright eternal legacy.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6 KJV
