News Flash: Seniors Still Share Wisdom and Grace!

Poem1 min read

Be steady and work diligently in your wholesome quest Until “good becomes better and better becomes best,” We were often told, yet in looking back, we were done. Yesterday was radical, productive, and fun; leisure won.

And yet, today, our seniors still show a consistent caring outreach. They run errands, transport patients, get meds, file tax returns, teach! Child-sit neighbors, transport patients, help elders at the door, Bake cakes, share recipes, study together, offer Bible study and more!

We’re still able to make a cheery call, encourage a friend, Be there for the grief-stricken, stick close to the challenging end, Listen closely, pause pain, lessen grief, bless people in a new way. We can stand strong, hug with hope, foster faith! Or just quietly stay.

Kind deeds are our rockets cast into a river, making ripples inside, Creating healing with blessings of overflowing sparkling tides. We will continue to help, ‘til our own days of ascension are called; No job is too small because investing our time and care validates all. Beloved, let us love one another.
